Have discovered way of putting video clips from DVDs on Youtube.
Maximum length of clip is 10 minutes, but the video can be broken up into parts Part 1, 2, 3, etc.
For example of work done to date see

The Doreen Irvine videos are taken from a DVD which has been divided into 24 parts.
( The street preaching scenes on YouTube are taken directly from a mobile phone!)
May be of use to someone out there!
