This year is a different year from other years, with lots of promises, and major shifts occurring in the spiritual realm. We can key into this shift, and consummate this Open Heaven the Lord is availing us by being focused, and allowing the Spirit of the Lord to fill our lives and prayer altar with the Glory of His wonder working power.
We must move from beyond the Outer Court into the Most Holy place for those who are still on this level. While those on the Outer Court must move into the Holy of Holies. We are seeking for a new level of relationship with the Father.
1 Kings 18:30-40
Then Elijah said to all the people, "Come here to me." They came to him, and he repaired the altar of the LORD, which was in ruins.
There may be one or two persons whose altar has been desecrated, destroyed, lukewarm, or out of fire for some time.
Pray that the Lord will help you rebuild and repair your prayer altar. Sprinkle the blood of Jesus around your prayer altar, for the emerging presence that will follow after this moment of prayer.
Elijah took twelve stones, one for each of the tribes descended from Jacob, to whom the word of the LORD had come, saying, "Your name shall be Israel." (The word Israel means one who wrestles with God) With the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD, and he dug a trench around it large enough to hold two seahs of seed.
While the prophets were building with twelve stones symbolizing the twelve tribes of Israel, now we have one stone, in which all the twelve stones are now hidden, He is the Stone of Israel (Gen.49.24). He is the Foundation Stone, the Cornerstone that marvels the eye. Tell the Lord you are building your prayer altar on this Stone. You are lively stones, and upon each stone there shall be seven eyes, which represents the seven spirits of God. Pray for yourself that as a part of the stone for your altar, that you will remain steadfast, unmovable, and always abounding in all grace. (Zech.3.9)
He arranged the wood, cut the bull into pieces and laid it on the wood. Then he said to them, "Fill four large jars with water and pour it on the offering and on the wood." "Do it again," he said, and they did it again.
"Do it a third time," he ordered, and they did it the third time. The water ran down around the altar and even filled the trench. and go down before the rain stops you.'"
Pray that God will give you grace to arrange and organize your altar of prayer to become more effective. Let us not be too busy to spend quality time with the Lord. The devil loves busy religious Christians who have no time for the Lord.
Release the water of the Word of God upon your altar, saturate your altar again and again with His word, and allow the word to sink deep down in you. Do not operate on a dry altar, allow the Presence of God to flow into your altar. Dry altars are the most difficult to operate as an intercessor.
At the time of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: "O LORD, God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command. Answer me, O LORD, answer me, so these people will know that you, O LORD, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again."
Beloved, pray the Prayer of v.36. Let the Lord answer you every day, week and month of this year so that people will know that the Lord is Jehovah ELOHEENU. Beloved, if God does not answer us when we pray, unbelievers will make a caricature of our faith. Pray that for every single prayer we will pray this year according to the will of God let an answer come.
Pray Ps. 8.2 thus: because of your enemies Oh Lord, release your power into my life and prayer altar, in Jesus name.
Then the fire of the LORD fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench.
Having done all, pray that the Lord will answer you and fill your altar with fire. Fire is the sign of a functional altar. Pray that God will fill your altar with fire. People can teach seminars on intercession, intimacy, travel from church to church preaching, if there is no fire on your altar, you have missed all.
Then Elijah commanded them, "Seize the prophets of Baal. Don't let anyone get away!" They seized them, and Elijah had them brought down to the Kishon Valley and slaughtered them there.
You are the only person who can confront the prophets of Baal. We must not let them get away with their deception. Let the spirits that empower these evil prophets in the Land be disempowered by the power of intercession. Ask the Lord to destroy every altar of false prophets and deception in the Land.
I will not shy away from telling you that you are responsible for maintaining your altar, and for ensuring that fire does not burn out from day to day.
Lev 6:8-13 The LORD said to Moses: "Give Aaron and his sons this command: `These are the regulations for the burnt offering: The burnt offering is to remain on the altar hearth throughout the night, till morning, and the fire must be kept burning on the altar. 10The priest shall then put on his linen clothes, with linen undergarments next to his body, and shall remove the ashes of the burnt offering that the fire has consumed on the altar and place them beside the altar. Then he is to take off these clothes and put on others, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a place that is ceremonially clean. The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add firewood and arrange the burnt offering on the fire and burn the fat of the fellowship offerings on it. The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out. (from The Holy Bible: New International Version)
