Greetings in the name of Our Risen Lord Jesus.
God is surely wonderful and He is still on the throne.
Virginia has been staying in our home as she is recovering from her
treatments. Red cell count is up, lesions are smaller. Her appetite is
not good. But she is in good form. She is planning to come to Bible
Study and to Church. So continue to hold this very precious lady before
God.
Steve a friend who we have known over the years is in hospital with a
hole in his lung. Pray that I can get a opportunity to bring the good
news of a risen savior Jesus to Him.
Jenny a young lady whom we have been praying for has now turned up in my
house she is visiting my daughter Lydia. God loves this young woman,
pray for an opening in her heart and mind to receive Jesus.
God brought a brother back into my life, His name is Joe. He had went to
Seattle with his family a while back. It was great to hear he was going
on with the Lord. We spent a little while talking and I am hoping we can
maintain our contact.
I haven't seen my dear friends who live on the streets for awhile.
Please continue in prayer for Virgil, and David. Their are many of these
people, but now I think of those two.
Some friends are heading to Mexico this week. Pray for a successful trip
as they bring the Love of God with them.
Its time we looked at the four gospels and go through the account of the
last days of Jesus on this earth.
Mark Chapter 11 through 16
Mathew Chapter 21 through 28
Luke Chapter 19 through 24
John Chapter 12 through 21
Each Gospel starts 6 days before the Passover in Bethany. You will get a
perspective of what was important to Jesus in those last days. He was to
be glorified, betrayed, rejected and condemned by men. In the end as he
walked through the valley of death, He was to come out triumphant and
glorified by His heavenly Father, and we mere mortals where reconciled
to God. Because He bore upon the cross our guilt and shame.
Down at the cross where my Savior died,
Down where for cleansing from sin I cried,
There to my heart was the blood applied;
Glory to His Name!
Refrain
Glory to His Name, glory to His Name:
There to my heart was the blood applied;
Glory to His Name!
I am so wondrously saved from sin,
Jesus so sweetly abides within;
There at the cross where He took me in;
Glory to His Name!
Refrain
Oh, precious fountain that saves from sin,
I am so glad I have entered in;
There Jesus saves me and keeps me clean;
Glory to His Name!
Refrain
Come to this fountain so rich and sweet,
Cast thy poor soul at the Savior's feet;
Plunge in today, and be made complete;
Glory to His Name!
Refrain
