Bob Dylan is at the NIA Birmingham next Wednesday 29th April. He became a Christian in 1979, attending bible study daily for four months and being baptised, according to his former pastor www.assistnews.net/strategic/s0000027.htm. He outraged many of his fans with a tour consisting exclusively of Christian songs plus some preaching by the young believer and then retreated into an ambiguous relationship with Christ, neither affirning nor denying his faith. It would be good to pray for him while he is in the area. Having attended a couple of events at the NIA with Reinhard Bonnke I receive emails from them, and very unusually was online at 5 to 9 one morning last December when a notification came through that the Dylan tickets were going on sale at 9.00. Didn't have a lot of time to decide but felt it must be of the Lord so bought 2 tickets in the front block and am going there mainly to pray for him for the restoration of his faith and a release of spiritual songs from this great artist. If anybody is interested I probably have one ticket spare. (If you go to my profile and web-site there's a contact link under the banner). Bless you, Andrew

Thanks Andrew C, I suppose the moral of the story is one has to sit before God, before one can walk before the world and stand before the devil. ( the theme of Ephesians ... Watchman Nee book ). Will send out your kind offer to our mailing list on PAFN forum. Many thanks for your post. God bless, Michael

I have found a brother in Birmingham to accompany me - he said he has prayed for Bob Dylan over the years - and accomodation too, praise be to God.
Yes, I really agree about the danger of starting a ministry prematurely. I read a wonderful testimony of a man who had been in the SAS including the Iranian Embassy siege. I looked to see where he was now, and found that he had an affair with the woman who helped him write the book, and in his shame committed suicide. I suppose a part of it is that one makes oneself a target for the enemy. Also, and probably more important is the danger of pride - see 1 Timothy 3 v 6 for the danger of pride in the case of a new believer becoming an overseer.
Blessings, Andrew
