WND Airline bans Bibles to avoid offending Muslims Carrier to Saudi Arabia also precluding crucifixes, teddy bears Posted: January 9, 2006 A British airline banned its staff from taking Bibles and wearing crucifixes or St. Christopher medals on flights to Saudi Arabia to avoid offending the country's Muslims. British Midland International also has told female flight attendants they must walk two paces behind male colleagues and cover themselves from head to foot in a headscarf and robe known as an abaya, the Mirror newspaper of London reported. Whatever Happened to Human Right?s. We all have a right to practise our chosen religion. As long as we respect the laws in someone else's country we shoud not be forced to cover ourselves from head to toe. I am not suggested that we go around showing our underwear and wearing thick belts instead of skirts. Covreing our heads make sense in the heat to protectb ourseleves from the sun. I am not walking behind any man unless it's a narrow pavement or alley. I don't think we should drink alcohol in places where it's prohibited either. Don't understand the teddy bear ban. We can take things too far sometimes.
