Petition of BBC's airing of "Jerry Springer -- The Opera"
Dear Friend,
On Saturday evening BBC2 aired the programme "Jerry Springer - The Opera" despite over 45,000 complaints, many from concerned Christians. In response to the BBC's refusal to pull this programme from the schedules, Premier Online is giving concerned Christians the opportunity to contact their MP, the BBC and OFCOM on the matter. Using our straightforward web pages, you are able to make your voice heard in Parliament with just a few clicks of a mouse.

It is important for Christians to speak out against such a blatant mockery of our faith. As William Rees-Mogg, former Vice-Chairman of the BBC and the first Chairman of the Broadcasting Standards Council, said in The Independent on Monday, "At present the BBC is afraid of Islam, but feels completely free to mock Christianity." We should stand up against such an affront to our faith and our Lord.
Antony Pitts, a Christian who was a Senior Producer for BBC Radio 3 where he has worked since 1992, made a brave decision to resign in protest. He made his reasons (blasphemy and mockery of God) clear to Director-General of the BBC Mark Thompson and has written a statement you can read by clicking here.
I encourage you to join with Antony and Premier in protesting this blatant lack of respect for our Christian faith and outright mockery of Christ. Right now you can send an email to your MP that will also be copied to the BBC and OFCOM (The Office of Communications) by clicking here. As David E Flavell wrote to The Independent on Tuesday, "The BBC is not just blasphemous, it is hopelessly biased against Christianity."
Please forward this email to as many people as possible.
