Praise to our Lord who is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews
13:8). If we can take hold of one solid thing in this life which is full
of changes, it is that our LORD never changes. He is always the same.
We have been given the Bible to help us learn about him, how to seek him,
about other brothers and sisters in faith, guidance and a road map for that
desperate search for peace. Life is so full of ups and downs and so many
things that I do not understand and I fear greatly. I know that my God is
there with me, no matter what. My fear is still there as well, however if
I draw close to the Lord, I know that I will find the strength ... and
peace. Truth is the only thing that can show a lie for what it is....
God is light and in Him there is no darkness (John 1:5)
I have e-mailed you several times in the past regarding my friend David.
His Grandmother and Father recently passed away. I've also been requesting
prayer for his salvation. I do not know if he has accepted Christ yet...
I've sent him at least two e-mails letting him know how. He has yet
another crisis in his life and he needs Jesus so badly! Please continue to
keep him in your prayers that his heart would soften to the Lord. That the
Lord would chase after him during these times. I just received the
following e-mail from him (edited):
"...I received a call from my Doctor on Friday morning. The report from my
X-rays show that I have a tumor growing on the left side of head causing
optical nerve damage and severe headaches. They tell me that they won't know
anything 100% until I do my MRI which is scheduled for this Wednesday. It's
supposed to be at least 4 months wait to do an MRI but they rushed it
quickly for me. I'm scared that it is more serious than my Doctor is telling
me.
The tumor is affecting some glands in my brain which is in turn affecting my
liver, blood circulation to certain parts of my body has decreased so now
I'm developing lesions there. Thank goodness it's not a lot, they look like
mosquito bites on my right leg only.
They tell me that surgery is the best option and then re-hab (radiotherapy)
after that. First my Father, now me. I'm even going to the same hospital my
Father was at, and I'm going to see the same Doctors..."
Thank you in advance for your prayers....
