About 6 weeks ago ( August 23, 2007 ) was at a prayer meeting and one person present had a vision of a sailing ship anchored in a storm. The anchor was then lifted so that the ship was free to move. Regarding interpretation, believe the ship speaks of a ministry vessel. In addition, last night I came across again the well known English phrase " At one's wits' end" which means 'perplexed; unable to think what to do.' Origin of the phrase comes from the Bible: 26 They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble. 27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end. 28 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.(Psalm 107 KJV). David Wilkerson has a sermon called, "A Place Called Wits' End!" www.tscpulpitseries.org/english/1990s/ts950424.htmlwhich may be helpful to anyone at such a place. Also if anyone out there has more detail on the interpretation, would love to hear from you, Blessings, Michael E mail: pafn777@yahoo.com

On October 4 a person saw an add on to the above vision ... the sails being unfurled ( to open out ). ( The initial vision was on August 23, 2007 ).
One scripture which may be pertinent is as follows:-
Acts 27:40 And when they had taken up the anchors, they committed themselves unto the sea, and loosed the rudder bands, and hoised up the mainsail to the wind, and made toward shore.
Also the time of the year appears to be significant.
Acts 27:8, 9 states:-
And, hardly passing it, came unto a place which is called The fair havens; nigh whereunto was the city of Lasea. Now when much time was spent, and when sailing was now dangerous, because the fast was now already past, Paul admonished them,
F. B. Meyer* says, It was toward the close of September and perhaps at Fair Havens the apostle may have observed the day of atonement, the one fast of the Jewish calendar and that it was November when they arrived at Malta.

Later the same person saw the ship( boat ) moving under full sail. Other pertinent verses are Mark 4:35 - Mark 5:2.
35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. 36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. 37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. 38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? 39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
Mark 5:1 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. 2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
Some points on these verses are as follows:-
1. It appears the disciples got their eyes on the wind, waves, water in the boat and not on what Jesus had said in verse Mark 4:35. The word of the Lord came to pass see Mark 5:1. We need to get our eyes off "all that will distract" and onto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith:
Hebrews 12: 2 ( Amp ) Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
2. I personally believe the enemy sent the wind because of two reasons: a. Jesus rebuked it similar to rebuking an evil spirit. ( Mark 4:39 ). b. The enemy in the man with legion saw the Lord coming towards him ( Mark 5:2 ).
3. I believe the whole exercise was a test and possibly an extension of the teaching which the Lord had been giving earlier on in Mark 4.
We know from the Word, God tests us. In the beginning man was tested in the following:-
16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. ( Genesis 2).
Also Proverbs 17:3 The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the hearts.
Shalom
